What started as a simple tweet from former Mets pitcher Marcus Stroman last Thursday, has now spun out of control and has become a war of words between former MLB (and former New York Mets catcher) Todd Pratt, Stroman and now fans.
Stroman’s tweet and Pratt’s reply went like this:
He is 61-60 in his career. https://t.co/xb9vYGs88m

… and away we go! Fans jumped right into the firestorm to offer their two cents about the players, their tweets and their character. In the immortal words on Bob Murphy, “fasten your seatbelts.”
And you hit .251 with a sub 800 OPS….

What a shitbum. You should never be allowed to talk with those career numbers. Guy was terrible. Lol 😂 pic.twitter.com/ZK0KLe44c7

Averages 5 innings a start. He’s a glorified opener or back in the day would be the long man out of the pen…maybe. I do not like these little dances just like I do not like the Jerseys being ripped off like a team just won game 7. The game has changed and not for the better.

Stroman: 18.5 career WAR, 1 Gold Glove, and an All-Star appearance. Also, graduated from Duke after breaking into the MLB which is always awesome to see an athlete do.
Pratt: 4.3 career WAR, .251 career average, and named as a steroid user in the Mitchell Report.
