Chavez will be remembered for '06 "Catch"

Endy Chavez batted .276 in 13 major league seasons with the Kansas City Royals, Montreal Expos, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Nationals, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles and Seattle Mariners.

In three with the Mets (2006-2008), Chavez batted .288 in 337 games. His most memorable moment with the team came in Game 7 of the 2006 National League Championship Series when he made a leaping catch at the left field wall to take a home run away from Cards third baseman Scott Rolen. He turned the catch into a double play (7-4-3).
